Angel Hearts presents STARRY!!
These costumes were a result of 6+ months of blood, sweat and tears, but we did it <3! We debuted the costumes together at the Animegacon Masquerade in Vegas last weekend, and took home Best in Show! It was an insanely tough competition, but we are so touched and honored that our hard work paid off… there are seriously no words. ;w;

MORE FANIME STUFFFFF! Here’s a video of Angel Heart’s performance in the Fanime masquerade ♥! Fanime has the most awesome stage, my personal favorite of all the masquerades I’ve been in… reminds me of my high school theater days, le sigh~! It’s always a pleasure to perform there, and sharing the stage with the Angel Hearts girls was a blast as usual, so fun! :D
I’ve only ever posted one “teaser” photo of this costume, so now that there’s some decent photos, I can’t resist posting a mini-set!
Me (Hanyaan) as Makoto Kikuchi from THE iDOLM@STER, Meruhen Maid version, with some other members of the group I’m in, Angel Hearts! We each made our own costumes; our Chihaya made a base pattern which we all followed and edited to our sizes. Welovecolors managed to provide enough [color]-and-white socks to fill up a whole group of girls in striped thigh-highs. They’re awesome! I really love when Angel Hearts gets to make outfits in image colors; it’s a bit trickier than sets where it’s same fabric different outfits, but I think the payoff is more than worth it. My favorite set is still Pop Sound Blossom, but when you get enough rainbow maids together (and sadly four isn’t quite enough, not when Makoto is one of them), Meruhen Maid is absolutely adorable too! These outfits are great for dancing. The skirts swish all over the place!
These photos are from Anime Destiny, a small convention held in Berkeley last October. It was a really small event and it had some organizational issues, but it was great for photo locations!

Taking a break from my regularly scheduled ALA cosplay spam to talk about my other obsession ~ my copy of The iDOLM@STER 2 for the PS3 arrived in the mail yesterday *w*!! I had considered saving up for a japanese xbox back in the day, but when the PS3 version was announced the new operation was to get my hands on a PS3 instead… x3;; Mike and I were lucky enough to get one from my parents for Christmas, so I ordered my copy right away, yay!! :D
I started my dream unit (Miki, Takane, Chihaya) and got about 8 weeks into the produce ~ it seemed like I was guessing pretty good at first (Miki obviously has a crush on me already, hah!) but Chihaya started getting grumpy and now she looks like she’s gonna cry every time she’s onscreen ;A; … so I think I’m gonna actually read a gameplay guide and start over again. I think I was starting to get the hang of it last night but it is pretty confusing when you can only make out teeny tiny bits of what’s being said, haha xD;;
So yeah, Mike and I are definitely gonna be fighting over the PS3 for a little while… iM@S vs Skyrim, hahaha ~ x3;;
