Happy White Day! March 14th is “White Day” in Japan ~ it’s a sort of follow-up to Valentines Day where the boys return the favor and give gifts to the girls who treated them on Valentines Day! (So does that mean Japan has even more silly made-up holidays than we do here in the US..? xD;) In honor of White Day the Crunchyroll Ambassadors donned our white Crunchyroll shirts to celebrate together~!

This week is also a time to remember and support 3/11 Japan Tsunami relief ~ the Japanese are so strong and inspiring with the way they’ve been able to rebuild since the disaster, but our support is still so vital.

Fanart of Mami from Puella Magi Madoka Magica

I wanted to do a birthday gift art for my friend Jason. He said Mami from Puella Magi Madoka Magica was his favorite. Added bonus is that a bunch of my other friends love Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Mami, too! (She is pretty cool, right?) I enjoyed watching the series recently.

I used my iphone to take a photo of the black and white sketch, brought it into Photoshop and then colored it using my laptop’s trackpad (like a boss). So please forgive my simple coloring.

This is part of my, doing a drawing every day stint! You can keep up with them by “liking” my Facebook page. I also post most of them on Twitter.

Of course this method could be modified for many drill-haired divas… so get creative ;D!
